I've always been told that my SNs are easy to remember. I'm not sure why. It's not like there's a pattern to them or anything.

Current plans are for Karen to be affected by the alignment virus for the full duration. If anyone would like to try to talk me into doing something else at the beginning or end, then by all means, bring it up.

More importantly: Any volunteers to have alignment!Karen in ur world, stealin ur gems?

Apparently Kurumi has a very severe case of stage fright, so now I get dragged into doing this "Five de Chance" show with everyone. Even though I was very specific about not wanting to play when we went over this last week.

All things considered, Karen wasn't really that bad at cooking in general--it all came down to following instructions, and that was simple enough. The cake she was trying to make, as such, was looking very promising.

And if the recipe had contained errors such as "tsp" being mistakenly printed as "tbsp," or had failed to mention important things such as the cake requiring only the whites of the eggs, then that wasn't her fault. Although she was fully responsible for the tiny bits of eggshell she was currently trying to beat into the batter. Actually, from an outside perspective, the only thing that could make this less promising would be if an even worse cook showed up and started "helping."

Although she was only a step or two away from putting it into the oven, so Karen and any potential assistant would soon have to find some other way to amuse themselves for a half hour or so.

I can't do anything for Chibiusa-chan.

I hate this.

OKAY SO. Karen knows pretty much EVERYONE and there's no way in hell that I managed to remember every single person she knows all by myself. In fact, I know for sure there are people missing here, because the list should be longer than this, and I basically just remembered a handful of people off the top of my head and went over some tabs I happened to still have open and other people's lists for others and I already barely remembered to put in one really major relationship because a tag came in at the right time and I didn't even bother with dropped characters because holy crap. If you're one of the people I forgot, commenting would be a good thing. Also comment if the color of your little pseudo-butterfly doesn't seem right or if you'd like me to add details (because there's no way in hell I'm staying up to write paragraphs about every single one of these right now). Basically, tell me what I need to add/fix. :P

Ӝ: Indispensable. People Karen has become dependent on. She quite literally would not know what to do if they disappeared. Your life takes priority over everything--if the only way to save you is to push the "destroy a dozen universes" button, well, you can't make an omlette without causing a few apocalypses.
Ӝ: Karen loves you! Exactly what type of love varies. Karen will be quite distressed if you disappear. Your life takes priority over the lives of anyone who isn't listed red or orange.
Ӝ: Close friend. Your disappearance would upset Karen. Your life takes priority over Karen's life, if it comes down to it.
Ӝ: Friend. Your disappearance would make Karen unhappy. Your problems take priority over Karen's physical and mental well-being.
Ӝ: Nice(?) person. Karen wouldn't mind being friends. If you disappear, she'll wonder where you went. Karen will worry about you.
Ӝ: Acquaintance. Seems interesting. Likely to follow "Pairing: Karen/" on the kinkmeme. Not actually used, because it's easier (and accurate) to just say "everyone else."
Ӝ: Karen dislikes you. She probably enjoys watching you screw up. If you disappear, she'll be pleased. Karen will save your life as long as it's only a mild inconvenience to her.

...it's not that there's anything wrong with Umi-san's clothes, but...

We finally got Urara-chan back.

I should be happy, but... Komachi is still out there. And we might not get a chance to save her--the Nightmares will know she's the last one.

Exactly when were you going to tell me what was going on?

Karen is going to be the leader of Pretty Cure! Awesome, right? Well, it's not a pleasant job to have at the moment. Remember how in mid-July 2008 Karen disappeared for about a day because of evil mind control? Well, uh, that didn't get worked out as easily in this timeline. She does have Nozomi and Rin back on her side now (she got back Nozomi a few days after this all started, and rescuing Rin was the "season finale" at New Years'), but Urara and Komachi are actively trying to kill the three of them.

Side effects that may be of interest:
- Karen has posted less frequently in general, and more frequently as Cure Aqua. If you joined in the past month or two, you may know her better as Aqua than as Karen.
- Karen and Nagisa think of themselves as being from alternate timelines now. Our Urara would have to have been from Nagisa's timeline, though I don't really expect that to come up.
- I knew there was a reason I still had all these first-season Cure Aqua icons.


Radd, on the other hand, is going to be in jail, because the Moderators never went all evil-y so there was never any need to break him out. Remember, kids, don't take illegal code patches. I'm just going to avoid the issue of why he can still post.

Karen's greenhouse had evidently become her standard place to meet people from offworld. It wasn't the only easily-accessible place that was typically devoid of witnesses (as a magical girl, you tended to get good at finding those), but it was the one with the pretty flowers, so...

Shia had seemed considerably more than "shaken" when they'd spoken on the comm, and Karen wasn't really surprised by it. She wasn't really sure what to expect when Shia got here--well, talking, of course, but she might need to be comforted, or calmed down, or something else she hadn't thought of. She might even need special care of some sort. Whatever it was, Shia apparently thought Karen was the person to do it.

Karen waited.

[At the end of a relatively successful maybe-date-depending-on-which-of-the-two-you-ask...]

As the credits began to roll, the lights in the theater came back on. Karen glanced down at herself and brushed away some bits of popcorn clinging to her shirt before turning to look at Yukiko.

...Amagi-san, would you be interested in going on a d doing something together? We could see a movie.

--But if you don't want to, that's fine!

Setsuna-san, would you like to go on a date together?

Not really. If you say yes, we can imply that we did things together while you were in her body, and that will bother her brother.
